  • Understands and adheres to the preparation, positioning, coil selection and exam sequences according to the Department Protocol book
  • Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model
  • Maintains knowledge of all MRI equipment, computers, EPIC and PACS.
  • Prepares and/or administers contract media in accordance with the Radiology Contrast Policy
  • Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, administers first aid/CPR, as needed and in accordance with specific MRI Safety guidelines
  • Records patient symptom history on requisition

About the Job:

The practice of magnetic resonance is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the use of radiofrequencies (RFs) within a magnetic field on humans for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A magnetic resonance technologist performs magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. It is the magnetic resonance technologist who performs the magnetic resonance examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis

What You’ll Do:
