What you'll do

  • Manage material readiness and shipment forecasts to support production execution and customer delivery performance.
  • Review MRP outputs, inventory positions, supplier commitments, and planning exceptions to identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Evaluate material and capacity readiness, lead shortage management activities, and coordinate recovery actions to support work order release, production execution, and customer delivery commitments.

  • Maintain planning data within the ERP system, including lead times, order policies, safety stock levels, and other planning parameters.
  • Support inventory accuracy, engineering changes, new product introductions, and supplier transitions.
  • Participate in SIOP and operational review processes, providing visibility into material and capacity risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce shortages, expedites, schedule disruptions, and planning exceptions.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Flowserve safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence standards.

  • 3+ years of experience in material planning, MRP planning, production control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, capacity planning, and supply-demand balancing principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with ERP reporting tools.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

  • APICS/ASCM CPIM certification or active pursuit of certification.

Role Summary

The MRP Planner is responsible for ensuring material and execution readiness to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. This role converts the approved master schedule into an executable plan by managing material availability, supplier commitments, inventory, capacity constraints, and shipment forecasts.

Working cross-functionally with Buyers, Production Controllers, Manufacturing, and Sales Support Representatives (SSRs), the MRP Planner identifies risks, drives recovery actions, and ensures production plans can be executed on time and in alignment with customer requirements.
