National Development Manager (12 month contract)

About the role:

The role of National Development Manager provides a unique career combination of both property and media industry sectors. It will see you manage and implement the development of large format media assets. Working across multi-disciplined consultant teams that include Town Planners, Architects and other town planning specialists, as well as direct engagement with key contract partners across State and Local Government.  

 

A Day in the Life:

Whilst there’s no typical day in the dynamic world of media, you can expect your role to involve the following:

• Manage existing contract relationships.
• Development of new and redevelopment of existing large format out-of-home media assets
• Have and maintain a strong general knowledge of State and Local government town planning legislation as it relates to out-off–home media.
• Assist the broader commercial function in preparing development related tender documentation and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
• Establish an ongoing positive relationship with State and Local government.
• Visit and present JCDecaux’s development concepts to State and Local government.
• Stay informed of new town planning or related laws, codes and standards related to out-of-home media.
• As required, represent JCDecaux on the Outdoor Media Associations (OMA) regulatory affairs committee.
• Monitor and understand planning schemes for all JCDecaux related Councils.
• As required review (Outdoor Media Association) OMA town planning reports for any changes which may affect potential JCDecaux future contract areas.
• Manage the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual development related reports

 

 

About You:

You’ll ideally come from a Town Planning background or have demonstrated experience within property or relevant industry within Government or private sector. You’ll be someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and a real team player. In addition to:

 

• Degree Qualified in Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Property or closely related discipline.
• Knowledge of local and State government processes
• Be highly skilled in all administrative tasks.
• IT literate in Excel, MS word and related project management software programs.
• Be capable of concurrently managing a wide range of tasks and priorities while maintaining a highly professional approach.
• Be able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
