About this role

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

We are hiring National Sales Leads across several key therapeutic areas: Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Ophthalmology, Oncology, Haematology, and Rare Diseases.

As the National Sales Lead, you are the field commercial leader for your disease area. You are responsible for total sales performance of the aligned therapy areas across the UK, leading a high-calibre team of Disease Level Managers, Key Account Managers and Therapy Area Expert Leads. You ensure our innovative treatments reach patients by navigating the complexities of NHS care pathways.

You will have significant autonomy to deploy resources and shape the commercial footprint for your disease areas, taking joint accountability with the squad for total UK sales performance. Through deep strategic and operational thought partnering with the Squad Lead, you will influence short and medium-term UK commercial strategy for our strategic assets, and engage critical stakeholders including leadership team members and above-country influencers.

The Opportunity:

Your focus is to translate national disease-area strategy into localised tactical excellence while developing a high-performing field team.

  • You take full accountability for national sales targets and KPIs through rigorous performance management and high-frequency coaching.

  • You oversee gold-standard account plans aligned to disease-level operational business plans and local healthcare system priorities.

  • You build and sustain high-level relationships with national clinical leads and key regional payors.

  • You act as the primary bridge between field and head office, ensuring a unified voice across Medical, Market Access and Marketing.

  • You analyse performance data and market intelligence to pivot resources, budgets and headcount to areas of highest potential and patient need.

  • You drive adoption of CRM and customer-engagement tools, setting clear business-impact KPIs to measure effectiveness and return.

  • You engage peers to find synergies and enterprise solutions across our customer-facing footprint.

Who you are:

  • You bring a clear track record of successful delivery in pharmaceutical sales leadership, ideally in a high-science specialty secondary-care environment.

  • You have a detailed understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and how to minimise barriers to rapid uptake of medicines.

  • You have a history of recruiting and developing top talent and promoting people into broader leadership roles.

  • You use CRM and business-intelligence tools to find the story behind the numbers and take corrective action.

  • You influence Squad Leads, leadership team members and above-affiliate stakeholders on strategy and execution.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing and implementing go-to-market models in the UK healthcare system.

  • Experience in MS, Ophthalmology, Solid Tumour, Haematology or Rare Disease.

Apply now and help ensure more patients get the treatments they need, faster. Bring your energy, and we will help you master your craft.
