Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a forward-thinking NHS Imaging Department in Peterborough. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality ultrasound service, working independently and as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General abdominal work

  • Provide accurate diagnostic reports to support patient care and treatment pathways

  • Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and patient safety

  • Liaise effectively with consultants, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Support and guide junior staff and students when required

  • (Desirable) Undertake MSK scans to support service demand

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration (or equivalent professional body registration)

  • CASE-accredited Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)

  • Proven NHS experience in Obs, Gynae, and General ultrasound

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • MSK experience desirable but not essential
