NOC 14403 - Purchasing and inventory control workers

Job Summary Coordinates purchasing activities and maintains accurate inventory records to ensure product availability. Collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to monitor stock levels and resolve discrepancies. Number of Positions 3 Main Duties Process and track purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier confirmations. Monitor inventory levels, set reorder points, and initiate replenishment actions. Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies. Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to expedite deliveries and resolve order issues. Maintain and update inventory records and generate regular inventory and procurement reports. Analyze usage patterns and assist with forecasting demand to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in supply chain, business, or a related field is an asset. Minimum of one year of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or a related role. Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic experience using spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Good verbal and written communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
