About this role
University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonary Transplant practice at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Join a team of excellent providers who deliver care for Pre- and Post-Lung Transplant recipients.
In This Role, You Will:
Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of care to patients within a multidisciplinary framework caring for Pre- and Post-Lung Transplant and cystic fibrosis patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.
Recommend treatment and prescribe medication.
Consult with physicians (as needed) and make appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment.
Location: University of Minnesota Medical Center and the M Health Fairview Clinic and Surgery Center – Minneapolis.
Your Schedule:
Full-time, 1.0 FTE
8 or 10 hour days depending on whether working inpatient or outpatient and every 5th weekend. Total of 40 hours per week scheduled.
We’re Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP’s).
Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

Practitioner with broad experience (4+ FTE years), preferably in pulmonology or critical care, with attention to detail and above average patient satisfaction scores.

The full-time salary range is $133,366 - $164,454 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
