About the Opportunity

Looking to take the next step in your career within Metcash? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative to join our Food Service & Convenience team, managing the Metro Melbourne territory on a full time permanent basis.

 

In this customer-focused sales role, you'll be responsible for growing sales and margin performance across an established customer portfolio while identifying and securing new business opportunities. You'll work closely with customers across the foodservice sector, building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions that support their success.

 

In this Role

• Grow sales, profitability and customer engagement across your territory
• Identify and convert new business opportunities
• Build lasting relationships with customers and suppliers
• Deliver promotional programs and category growth initiatives
• Analyse sales data and customer insights to maximise opportunities
• Maintain effective call cycles, planning and reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes

 

What are we looking for?

• Proven sales and customer relationship management experience within the Foodservice industry is highly regarded
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• FMCG, foodservice or wholesale industry experience
• Ability to analyse sales data and identify growth opportunities
• A proactive, results-driven approach
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify profitable sales opportunities.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools to analyse customer and sales performance
