What you'll do

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity.
  • Develop and execute the plant operational strategy aligned with business objectives and customer commitments.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance manufacturing culture through Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Daily Management System.
  • Lead operation teams to achieve operational KPIs including productivity, OEE, labor efficiency, inventory, on-time delivery, scrap reduction and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment and drive Zero Incident culture.
  • Drive quality excellence through robust process control, root cause problem solving, layered process audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team across Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to ensure stable production flow and rapid issue resolution.
  • Lead capacity planning, manpower planning and production scheduling to support business growth and customer demand.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Management (VSM), Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, Pull System and Waste Elimination.
  • Drive operational cost reduction through productivity improvement, labor optimization, material utilization, inventory reduction and manufacturing efficiency projects.
  • Establish an effective Daily Management process to monitor operational performance, identify abnormalities and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Lead talent development through coaching, succession planning, performance management and capability building for supervisors and frontline leaders.

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years of production management experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership capability with proven experience in leading large manufacturing teams.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs including OEE, FPY, Productivity, Labor Efficiency, Inventory Turns and On-Time Delivery.
  • Experience in Daily Management System, Value Stream Management and Digitalization/Visualization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with practical experience in structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Strong communication, influencing and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with data-driven decision-making mindset.
  • Experience in change management and organizational capability development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.

If you are an experienced manufacturing operations professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for driving operational excellence, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Suzhou, China, you will lead the Operations organization to achieve world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP), while driving continuous improvement, lean transformation and operational excellence across the manufacturing value stream.

As Operations Manager, you will:

·Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity.

·Lead change management initiatives to support business transformation and continuous organizational improvement.

·Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required education, experience and skills:
