About this role

Job Summary

Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across UFP international manufacturing and logistics operations. Enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance by standardizing best practices, developing global process KPIs, and fostering a culture of operational excellence, leading the management system implementation globally.

Location(s): Any city with a UFP Industries facility, Grand Rapids, Miami, Saint Louis, preferred.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Standardize best practices and develop global process KPIs

  • Benchmark operational performance across facilities

  • Identify and implement Lean and Six Sigma projects across sites & countries

  • Partner with site leaders to reduce waste and improve throughput

  • Deliver training programs on process improvement methodologies

  • Monitor and report on progress of improvement initiatives

  • Ensure alignment of improvement projects with strategic business goals

  • Support new equipment implementation, automation projects, facility expansions

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field

  • English language fluency is mandatory. Other languages, including Spanish, are desirable.

  • 10+ Years in manufacturing controls, plant management, quality control and operations management

  • Proven experience in leading Lean and Six Sigma projects in manufacturing or logistics environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and training abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international setting

Operates within a dynamic, global manufacturing and logistics network. Collaborates with site leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and to implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Responsible for supporting organizational growth and competitiveness through sustained operational improvements.

Ability and willingness to travel frequently to UFP International and UFP Industries facilities, including international travel, as required by business priorities.

 

Salary Pay Range: 

$100,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on experience*

                * Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living 

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
