Primary Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze company, sector, product, key person, etc. reputational risk information from third-party vendors, deal teams, client meetings, and due diligence materials. Evaluate the firm’s exposure across corruption, fraud, litigation, regulatory, and conflicts of interest risks, with prompt escalation of concerns. This includes making sure Risk and Business Leads have properly reviewed audit/operational due diligence scopes and sampling requirements, and that any non-compliance with policies/procedures are escalated
• Apply investigative judgment to probe beneath the surface of reputational and due diligence results or findings, identify inconsistencies, take a contrarian view, ask questions, and follow open issues through to resolution. Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk Leads and Business Deal Captains/Owners.
• Support execution of risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across processes, systems, and business activities
• Coordinate across key stakeholders to consolidate regulatory, financial crimes, background, and forensic inputs into cohesive analysis supporting the deal approval process.
• Analyze risk, control, and operational data using Salesforce (Fusion Risk Management), Snowflake, Tableau, and AI tools to develop dashboards and provide management insights
• Prepare clear, concise reporting and presentation materials to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, risk, or compliance, with exposure to financial transactions and operational risk including reputational risk and operational due diligence functions; knowledge of structured products/ABS risk is a plus

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting and data tools such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, and Fusion Risk Management, as well as AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Rogo
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly to a range of stakeholders
