Job Title: Operations Coordinator (Facility & Fleet Support – Tuscany Hub)

Reports To: Operations Lead (Tuscany Hub)


Job Overview

  • As a full-time Operations Coordinator (Facility & Fleet Support) at Backroads’ Tuscany Hub, you will play a key role in executing the hands-on operational work that keeps our hub running efficiently.
  • This role focuses on facility operations, warehouse execution, and fleet support, ensuring that our vans, trailers, equipment, and workspace are always operational and ready for use.
  • You will work closely with the Unit Loads Coordinator and Fleet Coordinator, supporting critical activities such as van preparation, warehouse organization, Unit Load readiness, and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities


Facility & Warehouse Operations

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse and operational spaces
  • Execute daily warehouse activities including staging, storage, and material handling
  • Support warehouse organization and continuous improvements to layout and usability
  • Assist in maintaining proper storage standards for equipment and operational materials


Fleet Operations Support (Hands-On)


Perform hands-on fleet-related tasks, including:

  • Van racking and unracking
  • Trailer inspections and basic maintenance
  • Hitch adjustments and vehicle configurations
  • Support the onboarding of new vans:
  • Picking up vehicles
  • Coordinating decals application with external vendors
  • Installing racks and preparing vans for operational use
  • Ensure vehicles are physically ready and properly configured for Unit Loads and field operations


Unit Load Support

  • Assist with preparation and execution of Unit Loads
  • Support equipment staging, packing, and warehouse setup
  • Assist Field Staff during load days and ensure smooth execution
  • Ensure all materials are accessible, organized, and ready for transport
  • Facility Maintenance & Improvements
  • Perform small repairs and maintenance tasks using basic tools
  • Identify and address facility issues proactively
  • Support implementation of facility improvements and upgrades
  • Work with external contractors when needed for small projects


Seasonal Operations (EOSM & Peak Periods)
Support End-of-Season Maintenance (EOSM), including:

  • Equipment handling and organization
  • Facility reset and preparation for the next season
  • Assist with seasonal transitions and operational readiness


Collaboration & Team Support

  • Work closely with Operations Coordinators and OpX team to support daily operations
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment
  • Provide flexible support across operational priorities as needed

Qualifications

  • Operations Experience: 1–3 years in warehouse, logistics, facility operations, or similar hands-on roles preferred
  • Hands-On Skills: Comfortable with physical work, basic tools, and practical problem solving
  • Driving Skills: Valid driver’s license; confident driving vans and handling trailers
  • Practical Mindset: Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented when facing operational challenges
  • Organization: Able to manage tasks, keep spaces organized, and maintain operational standards
  • Communication: Fluent English required; Fluent Italian preferred
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
