Job Description

As an OSHC Permanent Educator, you’ll work in the Safety Bay area, where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful, ongoing relationships with children, families, your team, and the wider school community. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of engaging before and after school care programs for primary school-aged children. From time to time, you may also have the opportunity to support nearby services across the region when additional support is needed.

Weekly shifts and hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across before and after school care shifts during term time. Extra hours available during school holidays too!

Rise then Shine: Term-time morning shifts from 6:30am - 8:45am
Stay and Play: Term-time afternoon shifts from 3:00pm - 6:00pm
School Holiday Program: Additional shifts may be available during school holidays, within program operating hours of 7:00am-6:00pm

Preference will be given to candidates who are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, particularly across both morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for working with children. 
  • A team player with aspirations to grow and learn in the role 
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
  • State working-with-children check. 
  • Australian working rights.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)  

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a completed relevant ACECQA-recognised qualification, including:

  • WA First Qualified Educator - Have completed a relevant qualification to work as a First Qualified Educator in WA in accordance with ACECQA
