Job Summary

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and develop product packaging solutions from concept to mass production. This role requires balancing protection, cost, sustainability, and user experience, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key Areas of Responsibility
•    Packaging structure design: 
- Create structural designs for both consumer and transport packages, meet specific product and customer requirements, ensure compliance with drop, vibration, sustainability requirements, etc.
- Create and maintain technical drawings, packaging BOMs.
- Continuously optimize existing packaging to reduce material costs, improve production efficiency, and maximize shipping cube utilization.
•    Packaging project management: Manage packaging development for multiple packaging initiatives including new packaging designs, changes, and process.
•    Cross-function collaboration:

- Work with cross-functional teams (Marketing, PMO, Quality, etc..) to solve packaging problems, optimize packaging.

- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to review design proposals, test package and improve production efficiency
•    Process optimization: Initiating and implementing process improvements.
•    Innovation: Stays updated with the latest trends, technologies and materials in packaging engineering to incorporate innovative practices.

Critical Experiences

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Packaging engineering, Industrial design, mechanical design, and other related majors.
•    Experience: Min. 3 years in packaging structural design (consumer electronics, appliances, or medical devices preferred). Full project lifecycle experience is a plus.
•    Technical: Deep knowledge of packaging material, printing process, and ISTA/ASTM test standards. Proficient in AutoCAD and basic graphic tools (AI), Artios CAD is a plus.
•    Language: Fluent spoken and written English – must be able to lead technical discussions, meetings with overseas teams in English.
•    Soft skills: Strong team spirit, problem solving, communication, multi project management, and an innovative mindset toward sustainability.
