Position Status

This is a permanent fulltime position. This job posting reflects a current vacancy within the organization and part of the Manufacturing, Science and Technology (MSAT) team. The position is active, approved, and intended to be filled as part of our staffing needs. This posting is for an existing and currently open position.

General Description

Packaging Specialist is responsible for the lifecycle of the primary and secondary packaging components used to package various products at site, which includes creation, amendment and optimization of the components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure component specifications and drawings meet all requirements for the client, production and quality and manage packaging components specification and drawing changes.

  • Manage and assess change control activities for amended packs to manage and implement component changes to site.

  • Perform line trials, troubleshooting and technical data management to support packaging area improvements , ensuring component requirements are suitable and do not impact line efficiencies.

  • Liaise with suppliers for compliance documentation.

  • Manage packaging initiatives from customers while driving standardization into the production environment.

  • Provide technical input to internal and external audits and customer inquiries.

  • To ensure packaging components comply with Pharmacopeia requirements and customer requirements.

Experience and Skills

  • 1- 3 years in Packaging Technology

Education

Required:

  • College Program

Preferred:

  • Pack Design and Development/Science

Working Conditions

  • Mainly office environment with regular visits to production area. Require the use of PPE to prevent exposure to hazardous materials when in production area.

  • The standard work week is 37.5 hours.

  • Flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate occasional line trials.

Compensation Range

$68,000-85,000
