Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Support pupils to develop functional skills, independence, sensory regulation, and access to learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to embed therapeutic strategies across the school environment.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and annual reviews.
  • Deliver both direct and indirect interventions tailored to individual pupil needs.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure best practice standards are met.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or learning disabilities.
  • Understanding of sensory integration principles and occupation-focused practice.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience within educational or specialist SEN settings is desirable but not essential.

Why Join Our Client?

  • Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities.
  • Ongoing locum contract with September start.
  • Work within a well-established multidisciplinary team.
  • Opportunity to support children and young people with complex needs in a rewarding educational environment.
  • Beautiful specialist campus with extensive outdoor learning facilities and resources.
  • Supportive and collaborative workplace culture focused on achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
