Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different

This role supports patients across Northeast Wisconsin while also assisting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, offering a variety of patient interactions and a manageable travel schedule. It is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys hands-on patient care while maintaining a strong connection to the branch.

Key Highlights

• Work Arrangement: On-site.

• Schedule: Part time (2 - 3 days per week), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

• Travel: Approximately 1.5 days per week.

• Coverage Area: Green Bay, WI and support for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

• Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursed at $0.70 per mile.

Salary range

• $32 - $36 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

What you’ll do

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups.

• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.

• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs,

• Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.

• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.

• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.

• Performs other duties as required.

What we look for

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active WI RT license.

• Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.

• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.

• Valid driver's license.

• Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations

• Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.

• Hold a current CPR Certification.

• Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
