A secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a committed graduate to work as a Pastoral Support Assistant from October. This Pastoral Support Assistant role focuses on supporting the wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour of pupils across the school.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work closely with the pastoral and safeguarding team to ensure pupils are fully supported in their school journey. The Pastoral Support Assistant position is ideal for graduates who are considering careers in education, youth work, or psychology.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with attendance, punctuality, and behaviour
  
  
• Building positive relationships with students and families
  
  
• Working with the safeguarding team where needed
  
  
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and wellbeing
  
  
• Providing support in lessons and around the school
  
  

We’re looking for:

• A UK degree at 2:1 or above in any subject
  
  
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
  
  
• A real interest in supporting young people
  
  
• Commitment to the full academic year
  
  

Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. Overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s, cannot be considered. Applicants must also have UK citizenship or the right to work.
