  • Administer inventor rewards and recognition program including tracking, communications, eligibility records, and internal coordination.
  • Coordinate Patent Forum support, on-site and virtual patent education events, stakeholder communications, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve documentation, reduce manual effort, and strengthen reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain patent and related confidential information in accordance with established information protection and records-management requirements.

The Patent Operations Coordinator will provide the operational foundation for Schwab’s growing patent program, enabling the Schwab Patent Office to scale effectively and operate consistently, accurately, and efficiently. The Coordinator manages the patent docket and associated records, patent files, SharePoint content, recurring reports, meeting materials, inventor rewards and recognition records, and patent education event logistics. Working closely with Schwab Patent Office leadership, inventors, internal partners, and outside counsel, the Patent Operations Coordinator will help ensure deadlines, records, communications, and follow-up activities remain current, consistent, auditable, and ready for leadership reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate patent docket, patent matter records, correspondence, and recurring records using established governance and naming standards; review exceptions and escalate deadline or data-quality risks.
