The Opportunity

As a Payroll Specialist who enjoys complexity, look no further! Supporting our Australian business as part of a global Finance Operations team committed to operational excellence and amplifying value, you can be assured this is far from a routine payroll environment.

Ideally based in Melbourne, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely end-to-end payroll services for our Australian workforce. From payroll processing, reporting and reconciliations through to superannuation administration and compliance activities, you'll help ensure our people are paid correctly and on time, every time.

Working closely with stakeholders across Finance and People & Culture, you will respond to payroll enquiries with professionalism, accuracy and care. You will also contribute to year-end processing and reporting requirements, while supporting payroll improvement initiatives and projects as the business continues to evolve.

About you

You bring 5+ years of experience delivering end-to-end Australian payroll within a medium to large organisation, with a strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance obligations and payroll best practices. You are confident managing complex payroll scenarios, including parental leave, terminations, salary packaging, leave calculations and superannuation requirements.

Recognised as a trusted source of payroll expertise, you stay current with employment legislation, awards, payroll tax and regulatory changes, proactively expanding your knowledge and sharing insights with others.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail and exceptional service are paramount. With strong payroll systems experience and confidence working with reporting and reconciliation processes, you can effectively manage complex payroll activities while ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality outcomes. Experience with Workday and Datapay is not essential, but would be highly regarded as we continue to embed and optimise these platforms across the business.

Above all, you are a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You take pride in supporting employees and leaders, balancing technical expertise with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. You enjoy being part of a team that makes a tangible difference to people across the business and are committed to delivering a reliable, accurate and professional payroll service.
