ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES
Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing printed circuit boards for aerospace, electronics, or high-tech applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CAD tools, design for manufacturability, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and develop multi-layer PCB layouts based on schematic inputs and engineering requirements.
· Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance.
· Optimize PCB designs for manufacturability, assembly, and testing.
· Create and maintain design documentation, Gerber files, BOMs, and fabrication drawings.
· Conduct design reviews and implement feedback from engineering and manufacturing teams.
· Work closely with vendors and fabrication houses to ensure quality and timely delivery.
· Troubleshoot and resolve PCB-related issues during prototype and production phases.
· Stay updated with industry standards, IPC guidelines, and emerging PCB technologies.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
· 4–5 years of professional experience in PCB design.
· Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, KiCad
· Strong knowledge of high-speed design, differential pairs, impedance control, and thermal management.
· Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-600, etc.).
· Experience with DFM/DFT principles and collaboration with manufacturing teams.
· Good understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
· Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability electronics domains.
· Knowledge of flex-rigid PCB design and advanced packaging techniques.
· Exposure to simulation tools for signal integrity and thermal analysis.
· Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or other quality standards.
