What you will be doing
Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) per diem
Location: Manhattan
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking to hire a per diem Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for a Manhattan Rehabilitation Centers. The opportunity is for approximately 20 hours weekly occurring over a minimum of three (3) days per week. The candidate’s primary role is to provide medical and therapeutic massage to the following populations: pre/post orthopedic surgery; athletes recovering from injury as well as improving performance; non-operative orthopedic conditions commonly seen in a rehabilitation center.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an academic setting and collaborating with a staff of physical therapists and exercise physiologists. The candidate will be afforded optional opportunities for attending education conferences and participating in community outreach.
Requirements
To qualify you must have a NY state license for Massage Therapy in good standing, along with evidence of current malpractice insurance. Candidates must have a minimum requirement of 3 year’s experience with a wide variety of clientele.
