Job Description Summary:
***This is a part-time casual, variable shift position at Riverside Methodist Hospital. MUST BE ENROLLED IN PHARMACY SCHOOL AND HAVE AN INTERN LICENSE! When school is in session, the expectation is to work every other weekend. When on break, full-time (or close to) is expected***Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs any or all of the functions of the department as assigned according to established procedure. Based on ability, experience, and performance, performs the increasingly judgmental activities of a pharmacist pursuant to State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Under supervision, gains the practical experience necessary to function competently and effectively upon licensure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma.
- Registration with The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Interns must be actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist through completion of academic and/or post-graduate experience requirements. These qualifications can be met by active enrollment in a College of Pharmacy, or for international pharmacy graduates, satisfactorily passed the FPGEE and the TSE or TOEFL-ibt (these are completed through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy [NABP]). All interns must have an active intern license prior to employment.
