What you'll do
- Properly performs venipuncture on inpatients and outpatients.
- Properly disposes of all contaminated needles immediately upon completion of phlebotomy procedures.
- Completes all timed draws, STAT, and ASAP orders before ending the shift.
- Strictly follows Hospital and Lab policies/procedures regarding patient care with special attention to isolation procedures.
- Assists in orientation of new personnel as requested.
