As Phlebotomy Technician, you are an integral member of the Medical Laboratory Team. Many patients often find needles and the idea of having their blood drawn frightening. Using your experience and skills, you can help put the patient at ease while obtaining all the required specimens. A caregiver in this position works days, 9:30am—6:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques and common practices

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Formal Phlebotomy Certification
Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with a clinical rotation/externship
One year of Phlebotomy experience
Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent and long durations of standing and walking.
- Visual acuity including the ability to distinguish colors.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate blood drawing equipment and make measurements.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
