Full description from employer

The Amazon Security SPEAR (Special Programs Evaluations Assessments & Response) Team is seeking a Physical Security Evaluator for the Evaluations Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Team in the Americas (AMER) Region. This U.S.-based role requires approximately 50% travel to support the team's mission.

The Evaluations ADC Team conducts physical security evaluations of Amazon Web Services (AWS) ADC data facilities in the AMER Region. These evaluations protect Amazonians, National Security Information, accredited facilities, and critical cloud infrastructure from insider and external threats. The team assesses people, processes, and security measures, then documents findings and provides resolution guidance—contributing to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AWS services.

The Evaluator partners with AWS Foundational Security & Dedicated Clouds (FSDC) U.S. ADC teams, AWS Management, and other stakeholders to conduct evaluations and implement physical security improvements. This role supports regional operations planning and execution, coordinates with other SPEAR Teams to drive down security findings across AMER, and contributes to global initiatives. The Evaluator reviews emerging technologies and security measures for potential adoption, and may lead evaluations of proposed security solutions or contribute to the development and improvement of physical security standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional skilled at planning, executing, and delivering evaluations for internal and external customers. This role requires deep knowledge of physical security principles and their real-world implementation, including the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and other requirements prescribed by the U.S. Government and the Accreditation Official (AO).

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
