What you'll do

  • Maintenance, servicing and defect rectification of heavy vehicles, semis, trailers, fuel carts and dry hire equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs in accordance with project requirements and manufacturer specifications.
  • Work within applicable NSW heavy vehicle regulations and project compliance requirements.
  • Tyre replacement and associated maintenance.
  • Diagnose and rectify AdBlue and DPF faults.
  • Conduct mechanical fault finding and diagnostics across a range of diesel-powered equipment.
  • Service and maintain project tool trucks, with approximately 35 vehicles projected to be operating across the project.
  • Complete repairs and rectification works following vehicle and equipment incidents.
  • Undertake auto-electrical repairs and fault finding as required.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide emergency mechanical assistance for trucks, agitators and other equipment operating across the project.
  • Maintain and repair transmission line stringing equipment and associated plant.
  • Maintain and repair project-owned mobile plant including telehandlers, EWPs and forklifts.

  • Experience responding to breakdowns and undertaking field-based repairs.

Job Description

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Job Description

Our Central-West Orana Project is currently seeking an experienced Plant / Diesel Mechanic to join our growing project maintenance team.

Working across a diverse range of heavy vehicles, mobile plant and specialist construction equipment, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding, breakdown response and defect rectification across equipment operating on the project.

The role will support the safe and reliable operation of heavy vehicles, semis, trailers, fuel carts, dry hire equipment, transmission line stringing equipment and mobile plant including telehandlers, EWPs and forklifts. You will work closely with project teams to respond to breakdowns, complete scheduled maintenance and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

This is an opportunity to work on a major renewable energy infrastructure project in a varied, hands-on maintenance environment alongside experienced construction and project teams.

This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off stops between Sydney and the Mudgee region. All other applicants within NSW will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense.

Please note this is not a FIFO role, and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or site if successful.

Required Skills and Competencies
