The Plant Manager is a key member of the North American Insulation business management team. The Plant Manager is responsible for providing direct management and overall leadership for the Mebane manufacturing facility. This role is also responsible for developing OGSM manufacturing objectives, supporting business direction, developing financial budgets and supporting the development and implementation of new products.

Job Responsibilities
Support the implementation of the global WAM process by working with pillar leaders to develop plans to implement each of the 12 WAM pillars.
Achieve thru implementation of the WAM Safety and Environmental Pillar improved safety and environmental performance with the goal of zero incidents and zero accidents.
Develop plant management leadership through the use of the OGSM and APDR processes.
Support global KPI process and ensure KPI’s are accurate and used to track improvements.
Develop through the use of the WAM CD Pillar annual PAP plans to meet or exceed 3.5% annual reduction of manufacturing costs.
Work with the FI Pillar leader to implement focused improvement tools to support other WAM pillars.
Achieve improved equipment reliability with the goal of zero downtime by utilizing the AM and PM Pillars.
Develop thru the capital planning process a three year plan and manage annual performance by completing projects on time and within planned costs while not exceeding annual capital budget
Work with the QA Manager to maintain an effective quality process and retain the plant’s ISO9000 certification.
Work with NA Insulation Planning team and Customer Service on capacity planning and support monthly production plans to maintain expected customer service levels.
Work with the HR Manager to maintain positive employee relations and develop effective processes for recruitment, retention, development, communication, and compliance.
Ensure that plant meets all state, federal and corporate guidelines and regulations. Work with the Plant Safety/Environmental Committee to achieve goal of being environmentally compliant.
Work with Insulation Technical Manager and plant manufacturing team to develop and implement new ideas for raw material changes and substitutions.
Coordinate production activities along with procurement, maintenance, production planning, safety and quality control activities to obtain optimal use of the team and equipment.
Coordinate with technical and sales teams to support new product development efforts.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field required.
10 years of management experience in manufacturing environment required, Plant Manager experience preferred.
Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.
Proven ability to lead and develop effective teams.
Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Lotus Notes.
Knowledge of rubber processing: mixing, curing, extrusion and foaming.
