Platform Engineer

At Centiro, our platform is at the core of how global supply chains move. As we continue to scale across North America, we’re looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and evolve our hosting platforms with clarity, stability, and long‑term thinking.

This is a high‑impact role where you’ll influence how our platforms are designed, operated, and improved — while working in an environment built on trust, autonomy, and collaboration.

About the role

As a Platform Engineer at Centiro, you’ll be part of our DevOps organization, responsible for designing, operating, and improving our cloud and hybrid platforms. You will work across Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring infrastructure is secure, scalable, automated, and cost‑efficient.

This role balances platform engineering and operational responsibility. You’ll contribute to architecture and automation while also taking part in monitoring, incident handling, and continuous optimization. From Vancouver, you’ll support our North American operations while working closely with global platform, development, and delivery teams across time zones.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership, make sound technical decisions, and influence how we build reliable platform capabilities at scale.

Who you are

You’re an experienced engineer who combines technical depth with sound judgment. You’re comfortable taking responsibility for complex systems and understanding that platform work is as much about reliability and maintainability as it is about innovation.

You communicate clearly, explain technical topics in a pragmatic way, and build trust through consistent delivery. You’re comfortable working across teams and time zones, while still operating independently and owning your decisions.

You value structure, simplicity, and continuous improvement. You don’t chase trendiness for its own sake — you focus on solutions that work well in real‑world, evolving environments.

Experience & skills required

• Several years of experience working with modern enterprise or cloud infrastructure

• Strong experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud

• Experience designing and operating high‑availability platforms

• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, networking, and monitoring

• Experience with incident handling and operational troubleshooting

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)

• CI/CD pipelines and automation

• Development experience or strong understanding of developer workflows

• Hybrid infrastructure experience (on‑prem + cloud)
