Platform Engineer - TSM

Seeking an experienced Platform engineer with significant operational and performance engineering experience to deliver core banking services to customers and colleagues.

As a Platform Engineer. you will be joining Transaction Switch Modernisation team in Technology and Enterprise Operations, that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

 Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

• Support the service(s) and environments across the division.
• Identifies and addresses risks with the operation of the service
• Responsible for the successful resolution of critical, high, medium and low problems
• Provides technical support and direction across service management processes including, incident, problem, change, configuration, capacity, continuity (DR), availability, asset, monitoring and alerting
• Ensure appropriate capacity, risk and security monitoring, disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place across the portfolio, any issues are to be identified and remediated appropriately
• Another important part of the role is to perform On-Call support

What you will bring:

• 3-5 years’ expert experience in PostgreSQL Technology and delivery,
• Experience and well versed with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Harness, CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager highly desirable.
• Have worked and supported on a critical and highly available 24x7 production system.
• 3-5 years hands on working experience on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• 2-4 year’s designing, building, managing and administering large scale Database (physical and virtual) environments. 
• Must have installed  software using command line.
• Strong development or system administration experience on UNIX/Linux systems. 
• Strong experience in Bash shell programming.
• Competent use of AI tools like Cursor in the everyday work schedule.
