Platform Software Technical Lead

We deliver platform software (SW) for Servers that's in the Google fleet. This is our compute servers that goes to Cloud, our shared fleet machines that server all our Google applications from Search to Colossus, our Machine Learning (ML) headnodes to powers Gemini.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead the software architecture, design, development and testing of Arm/X86-based server platforms.
• Drive innovation in server architecture and contribute to the development of industry standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimization.
• Engage with cross organizational leads to co-develop roadmap
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation. Engage with the Arm ecosystem and industry partners to drive adoption of Arm-based server solutions.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience in testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience in working with embedded operating systems.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying server solutions.
• Deep understanding of Arm server architecture, including ARMv8/AArch64/X86
• Strong understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and cloud computing concepts.
• Proven track record of leading and contributing to industry standardization efforts.
• Excellent communication, team-work, and leadership skills.
