RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all plant safety rules, safety training, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Ensure safe operating practices by performing all necessary pre-production safety checks
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well
• Move controls, levers, and devices to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas.
• Organize and secure materials where loads of materials and pallets are stored
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices
• Wraps loads as needed; Apply labels on pallets as required
• Move material to line, ship to customer using the First In First Out system
• Understands equipment needs and modifications
• Familiarization with quality standards and line processes
• Perform and document completed daily housekeeping
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Experience operating a forklift
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to establish and maintain a high level of organization and quality
• Familiarization with computers; data entry/Microsoft programs
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. This position also requires manual dexterity/fine motor skills
• Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift, frequent overtime may also be required
• Acceptable attendance record consisting of no more than a total of 8 attendance points as of the date the posting is removed
• Acceptable performance record consisting of no performance disciplines beyond a Written Warning received in the 6 months preceding the date when the posting is removed
