Ivy Cottage Dental is looking for an experienced and ambitious Practice Manager to our lead our established practice in Inverkip.

This is an opportunity for a confident people leader who understands that a successful dental practice is built around exceptional patient care, a high-performing team and strong operational standards.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of this two-surgery practice, which includes two associates and a hygienist. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your own team around the structure of our experienced clinicians, bringing energy, leadership, and direction while continuing to develop the practice and enhance the patient experience.

You will be the operational leader of the practice, responsible for creating an environment in which our clinicians and support teams can perform at their best.

About the role

As Practice Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and performance of Ivy Cottage Dental, ensuring the practice operates efficiently, safely, and in line with the group’s standards.

You will provide visible leadership to the practice team, setting clear expectations, supporting development and creating a positive culture where people feel valued, accountable and motivated.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing the practice team to deliver consistently high standards.

  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the practice.

  • Working closely with clinicians to support an outstanding patient journey and experience.

  • Driving practice performance and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.

  • Monitoring key business and operational measures and taking action where required.

  • Ensuring robust compliance across all areas of practice operations, including governance, health and safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management and team development.

  • Building strong relationships across the wider Clyde Munro support network and making full use of the expertise available to the practice.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, patient experience and team performance.

  • Supporting the practice in embracing new initiatives, technology and ways of working.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced Practice Manager or an exceptional operational leader who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll be someone who:

  • Holds current GDC registration and has proven clinical experience - both are essential requirements for this role

  • Has proven experience managing and leading a team within a dental, healthcare, or similarly regulated environment.

  • Is commercially aware and understands the importance of balancing patient care, people and business performance.

  • Is confident making decisions and taking ownership rather than waiting to be directed.

  • Has excellent organisational skills and can manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Is comfortable working with performance data and using it to identify opportunities and drive improvement.

  • Has strong communication skills and can build credibility with clinicians and support teams alike.

  • Can have challenging conversations when required while maintaining a positive and supportive approach.

  • Leads by example and knows how to create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
