About the Role
At Ingecom Ignition Italia, we are looking for a versatile Pre-Sales Engineer to join our technical team and act as a trusted technical advisor across our cybersecurity portfolio, supporting partners and customers in identifying and validating the most appropriate solutions for their needs.
This role is key in supporting the sales organization by designing, presenting, and validating cybersecurity solutions, combining strong technical expertise with business understanding and excellent communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Qualifications & Experience
Core Requirements
Proven experience in IT, preferably in pre-sales, technical consulting, cybersecurity, or engineering roles.
Strong ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders: sales teams, vendors, partners, and customers.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills & Expertise
Hands-on experience or strong knowledge in several of the following areas:
Endpoint security, EDR/XDR, and threat prevention
Security monitoring, SIEM, log management, incident investigation, alert triage, and threat hunting
Identity security, MFA, passwordless authentication, and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Network security, Network Detection & Response (NDR), traffic analysis, and visibility
Cloud security, workload protection, and posture management across Azure, AWS, or GCP
Operational Technology (OT), Industrial IoT, asset visibility, and industrial cybersecurity
Attack surface, exposure, vulnerability, and security asset management
Email security, data protection, information protection, and secure collaboration
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, LAN, WAN, VPN) and enterprise architectures
Administration of Windows, Linux, macOS, Active Directory, and identity environments
Security platform integrations using APIs, SIEM/SOAR, ticketing systems, and identity providers
Virtualized and cloud environments including VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, and GCP
Ability to map customer requirements to multiple technologies and build integrated proposals
Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, Zero Trust, defense in depth, and related security frameworks
Nice to Have
Experience delivering technical training or workshops.
Knowledge of cybersecurity vendors across EDR/XDR, SIEM, PAM, identity, OT security, NDR, exposure management, email security, or data protection.
Relevant certifications, either vendor-neutral or vendor-specific.
Experience in a distributor, system integrator, vendor, or multi-vendor cybersecurity environment.
What we offer
Salary: €35,000–€55,000 gross annual base salary + variable compensation linked to objectives
Collective Agreement: CCNL Commercio
