Job Summary: Our client, who is in the information technology and cybersecurity solutions industry, is seeking a Presales Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join their dynamic team. The Presales Engineer will play a key role in supporting channel partners and end customers within the assigned territory. This position involves providing technical expertise, driving partner enablement, conducting product demonstrations, and offering presales assistance for cybersecurity solutions, particularly Next-Generation Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, and EDR/XDR technologies. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled professional with strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of building trust and influencing both technical and business decision-makers. Responsibilities: • Provide presales technical assistance in qualifying sales leads and supporting the sales team from a technical standpoint. • Work directly with end customers and channel partners to drive business opportunities and solution adoption. • Conduct on-site partner visits, customer demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concept (POC) sessions. • Develop the technical capabilities of partner engineers through enablement programs on key cybersecurity products such as firewalls, endpoint, server, and cloud security solutions. • Manage, guide, and motivate a team of Partner Technical Engineers to become trusted cybersecurity advisors. • Plan and execute technical enablement activities including workshops, webinars, training sessions, and white boarding sessions. • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including implementation guidance and coordination with the engineering team for issue resolution. • Collaborate with partners to create technical case studies, success stories, and marketing references. • Respond to RFPs and prepare detailed technical documentation for customers and partners. • Maintain strong relationships through regular meetings with key partners and end customers. • Serve as the technical lead to educate partners, customers, and internal sales teams on new features, products, and security technologies. • Conduct regular internal and external technical knowledge-sharing sessions. • Perform post-sales support for high-potential customers and partners. • Gather and prioritise customer requirements, providing feedback to the regional technical management team. • Work with marketing teams to plan and execute technical events such as partner roadshows, customer workshops, and cybersecurity awareness sessions. • Analyse partner performance and conduct quarterly SWOT analyses to measure the impact of enablement activities. • Support partners in complex customer environments, troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical challenges. • Stay informed about competitor products and position the company’s solutions as the superior alternative. Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Presales Engineer in the cybersecurity industry, preferably with hands-on expertise in Next-Generation Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, and EDR/XDR solutions. • Strong presentation, product demonstration, and solution articulation skills. • Proven ability to engage both technical (CTO/CIO) and business (CMO) stakeholders. • Solid understanding of channel enablement, partner management, and sales engineering processes. • Proficiency in key technologies and protocols such as Firewall, Endpoint Security, VPN, LAN/WAN, Routing & Switching, Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware), and Authentication (Active Directory, LDAP, MFA). • Working knowledge of DNS, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, and related network protocols. • Familiarity with common malware families, hacking techniques, and IDS/IPS evasion methods. • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team coordination skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to deliver results without direct authority.
