Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

 

As an Outside Sales Consultant (HVAC Comfort Advisor), you will meet directly with homeowners who are interested in replacing, upgrading, or improving their home's heating and cooling system. Rather than chasing leads, you'll focus on building trust, evaluating customer needs, and presenting customized comfort solutions.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in:

• HVAC sales
• Home improvement sales
• Residential remodeling sales
• Roofing or exterior sales
• Window and door sales
• Security system sales
• Solar sales
• In-home consultative sales

What You'll Do

• Conduct in-home consultations with residential customers
• Evaluate existing HVAC equipment and overall comfort needs
• Recommend replacement systems and energy-efficient solutions
• Explain available equipment options, warranties, and financing programs
• Build value through education and professional recommendations
• Prepare accurate proposals and pricing presentations
• Guide customers through the purchasing decision process
• Close sales during scheduled consultations
• Coordinate project details with operations and installation teams
• Maintain a high standard of customer experience throughout the sales cycle

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Preferred Experience

• Successful track record in residential in-home sales
• HVAC sales experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to close sales during the initial appointment
• Experience presenting financing options and investment-level purchases
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Comfortable inspecting equipment in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and utility areas
• Professional communication and presentation abilities
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to work evenings and weekends based on customer demand

Compensation

Expected Earnings: $100,000-$200,000+ annually for high-performing sales professionals.

Compensation includes a training salary during onboarding and transitions into a performance-based draw and commission structure. There is no cap on earnings.
