About this role

The prescriber sits within MANUAL's clinical team, responsible for remotely evaluating and assessing asynchronous patient consultations and issuing prescriptions when satisfied that requirements have been met for safe supply.

MANUAL launched our weight loss offering at the start of 2024. We have quickly established ourselves as one of the UK's leading providers of GLP1s for weight loss and hair loss solutions for men. 

Salary: £50,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)  

Location: Fully remote or hybrid  

Hours: Flexible arrangements from 15 to 37.5 hours per week, with compressed hours available; at least one weekend day is a requirement 

Potential shifts:

  • Early shifts (08:00-17:30, including 1-hour lunch break)

  • Mid shifts (10:00-19:30, including 1-hour lunch break)

  • Late shifts (10:30-20:00, including 1-hour lunch break)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work remotely using our secure Electronic Health Records System (EHR), ensuring all information is treated confidentially.

  • Evaluate patient consultations and determine prescription eligibility across multiple treatment categories, including Weight Loss, Erectile Dysfunction, and Hair Loss.

  • Follow protocols set by MANUAL's Medical team when prescribing treatments

  • Request further information from patients where needed to prescribe safely

  • Complete, concise and comprehensive patient records

  • Work efficiently according to the designated rota to meet patient demand

  • Provide feedback on any issues preventing work delivery

  • Engage in regular team meetings and training sessions

  • Support patients with side effect management and clinical advice

  • Complete Patient Safety Incident (PSI) forms when appropriate

 What You'll Bring to the Role

  • GPhC/GMC/NMC registration

  • Independent Prescriber qualification if registered as a pharmacist or nurse

  • Experience with telemedicine and protocol-based prescribing

  • Experience prescribing GLP1s would be advantageous

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

  • IT literate and able to use multiple systems 

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

    Team Structure

    You will report directly to the Senior Clinician and Clinical Lead. Working as part of our multidisciplinary clinical team in a collaborative remote environment.
