  • Communication of design intent via PowerPoint presentations in layman terms to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preparation of fee proposals and site specific quality submissions for design contracts with public and private clients.
  • Oversight of preparation of design drawings.
  • Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the civil engineering discipline.
  • Financial management of design budgets.
  • Supervising and mentoring other structural engineers who will be reporting into the successful candidate.
  • Manage both personal workload and the work load of a small team of civil engineers who will report into the candidate.

Overview

We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer – HV Substations to be based in one of our Republic of Ireland offices. The successful candidate will work in our Energy team within a multidisciplinary office and will work on Power and Energy projects primarily in the design of High Voltage Substations.

The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of team.
