  • Design, develop, and simulate communication system and PHY-layer modem algorithms for wireless applications.
  • Develop and validate system models, fixed-point models, and hardware-aware algorithm implementations
  • Translate product and system requirements into clear technical specifications for RF, digital, software, and validation teams
  • Work closely with RF/Analog, Digital, Validation and Software teams for bringing-up, testing and troubleshooting of test chips and SOC's
  • Simulate communication systems and participate in digital block design
  • Participate in RFIP design regarding block specs & controls

  • Technical leadership experience in owning the Modem and DFE sub system is highly desired

  • Experience in MATLAB, C/C++ and fixed-point/cycle-true programming and simulation
  • Experience on Modem and digital front-end blocks design
  • Experience in IC design production support, RFIP calibration and testing
  • A team player; able to identify and resolve technical and schedule issues with team members. Team management skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials effectively and produce good quality engineering documentation.

We are seeking a Communications Systems Design Engineer with a strong background in communication theory and signal processing. The successful candidate will join our Wireless Systems Group in Germany and as a senior member of the team, will be responsible for the systems design and implementation of physical layer for low power wireless products. You will be working with a cross-functional global team in a collaborative environment that we take pride in. You will thrive on complex technical challenges and be personally motivated to provide the best solution to challenging problems. The position can offer leadership opportunity to qualified candidates.
