Amazon's Compensation team is seeking a Principal Compensation Consultant to provide strategic compensation support to our Advertising, IMDb, and Grand Challenge (AIGC) organization. In this role, you will deliver on AIGC's compensation needs through strategic, analytical, and consulting services. Working directly with senior HR and Business leadership in a global organization operating at the leading edge of the Advertising space, you will build and evolve compensation programs that support the business's strategic objectives and provide hands-on assistance across all areas of compensation analysis.

You must have a passion for working with complex data and a commitment to accuracy from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects. The successful candidate will proactively partner with HR Business Partners and Business leadership to identify and address compensation issues and evangelize Amazon's Total Compensation philosophy and strategy.
In this role, you will partner with HR, Business, and Recruiting leadership to develop and implement compensation strategies across multiple AIGC functional areas, including benchmarking and reviewing Advertising sales incentive programs for competitiveness. You will perform deep analysis on existing global compensation programs, develop creative solutions to complex total compensation challenges, and write compelling papers that articulate findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences. Success requires independently leading discussions with senior leaders, building alignment across multiple stakeholders, and establishing mechanisms that drive operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with HR leadership and teams to develop and implement compensation strategies for multiple functional areas within AIGC businesses.
• Independently lead discussions with senior leaders in the business, HR, and Recruiting.
• Partner with HR, Business, and Sales Operations leaders to benchmark and review Advertising sales incentive compensation programs to ensure competitiveness.
• Develop creative solutions as needed on a variety of total compensation issues, and work on a variety of ad hoc special compensation projects as needed.
• Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing global compensation programs and assess potential impact of alternatives.
• Write detailed and compelling papers to articulate the findings and recommendations from your analysis to a non-technical audience.
• Work to gain alignment with different constituencies and represents a common point of view across multiple stakeholders.
• Build and maintain mechanisms to drive operational excellence; understand current state of systems and processes and develop gap analysis between current state and customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation
- Experience in finance, compensation, or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices
- Experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- • Experience with sales incentive compensation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
