Principal Software Engineer, Technical Lead
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead a squad within Fidelity Ireland’s Asset Management Technology group. You will be a hands-on developer contributing to building a suite of Micro-Services and UIs. Our team is responsible for designing & implementing technical solutions for the Fidelity Asset Management Solutions division which provides retirement and college saving solutions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent and you want to learn more.
A minimum of 10 years of design & development experience.
Experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services and Angular or similar
DevOps enablers such as Maven and Jenkins
Karate, Playwright, Storybook or similar testing frameworks is a plus

The Team
In this role, you will be contributing to the development of quality software components that are used by Portfolio Analysts and Managers in managing over $950 Billion assets under management held in Retirement & College Savings solutions. You will have chance to engage, shape and contribute to our suite of Micro-Services and UIs that provides building, modeling and trading capabilities for these solutions.

We are currently working in a hybrid model with some flexibility for remote working. However, Fidelity is gradually transitioning towards a full-time return to the office. We believe this will help strengthen our culture and enhance both the associate and customer experience. At present, this transition is expected from 2027 onwards, with no fixed timeline in place.
