Description

Join Northrop Grumman Australia and play a key role in supporting the Royal Australian Air Force's C-27J Spartan fleet.

This is a rare opportunity to combine technical leadership, aircraft design, airworthiness, certification and operational problem-solving while working on a live Defence aviation capability.

You'll be part of a highly regarded engineering team delivering critical design services, technical investigations, modifications and avionics solutions that help keep aircraft mission ready.

About the Opportunity

As a Principal Avionics Engineer, you'll support the continuing airworthiness and design activities of the C-27J Spartan platform.

Working alongside design, maintenance, airworthiness and operational stakeholders, you'll investigate complex aircraft issues, develop engineering solutions, support modifications and contribute to the ongoing safety and effectiveness of the fleet.

This role offers the opportunity to develop Engineering Authority and certification responsibilities while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

About You

You'll be an experienced aviation engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to make a meaningful contribution to Defence capability.

You'll bring:

  • Degree-qualified Engineering credentials in Avionics, Electronics, Electrical or similar
  • Extensive aviation engineering experience
  • Exposure to aircraft certification, design, systems engineering or airworthiness
  • Knowledge of military or civil aviation regulations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Desire to mentor and develop engineering capability
