What you'll do
- Leads direct and indirect procurement activities to secure the materials and services needed to support company operations and government contracts.
- Oversees sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, contract terms, and company policies.
- Maintains accurate, audit-ready procurement documentation, managing supplier risk, and improving cost, quality, and delivery.
- Working closely with program management, finance, contracts, and operations, develops the procurement team and ensures purchasing decisions support business objectives with integrity and accountability.

- Knowledge of procurement policies, internal controls, delegated authority, approval workflows, and segregation-of-duties principles.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze total cost and value, negotiate favorable commercial terms, and deliver measurable savings without compromising quality, schedule, or compliance.
- Experience using ERP/procurement systems (NetSuite is a plus) and advanced Excel or comparable data-analysis tools.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear policies, procedures, reports, and audit-ready documentation.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with program management, finance, legal, contracts, quality, engineering, and operations.
