Procurement Manager

What you'll do
- Lead procurement for plant projects: equipment packages, bulk materials and services (civil, E&I, mechanical)
- Manage the full sourcing cycle: RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, commercial negotiation and award
- Maintain and develop the vendor base; qualify new suppliers for critical equipment categories
- Coordinate with Engineering on technical specifications, Material Requisitions and datasheet alignment
- Track delivery schedules, expedite vendors proactively, and escalate early on risk items
- Manage procurement cost tracking and report against project budgets
- Identify and prioritize candidates for master supply agreements across recurring equipment and service categories
- Negotiate and conclude framework contracts covering pricing, lead times, Incoterms, warranty, and liability
- Build long-term vendor relationships that support volume leverage as rollout scales
- Develop a preferred vendor list aligned with standardization and quality requirements
- Review and negotiate supply and service contracts: payment terms, delivery conditions, penalties, liquidated damages clauses, IP provisions
- Maintain a contract register; track key obligations, expiry dates, and renewal windows
What they're looking for
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent; technical background preferred
- At least 5 years of procurement experience in plant engineering, EPC or capital equipment environments
- Proven track record in negotiating supply contracts for mechanical, process or electrical equipment
- Experience with framework/master agreements and strategic vendor management
- Solid understanding of contract law fundamentals, Incoterms, and commercial risk allocation
- Experience in global sourcing is a must and from Asian markets is a distinct advantage
- Fluent English required; German or Spanish language skills are an advantage
Nice to have
- Familiarity with process industry equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, instrumentation, piping) is a strong plus
