About this role

Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist for Drones & Embedded Electronics

Own the supplier network, logistics and trade-compliance backbone that gets our autonomy hardware built and fielded. Your work will help strengthen Europe’s defense with real capability.

About SE3

SE3 Labs is building Spatial AI by combining 3D computer vision with large language models (LLMs). We believe the ability to reason about and act within physical space is foundational to unlocking the next generation of automation, from construction to smart infrastructure, and ultimately, defense.

Now, we’re building the physical platform to bring Spatial AI to life. That means high-performance, real-world robotic systems (starting with UAVs) and we’re looking for a skilled, hands-on procurement specialist who’s ready to power the foundation of these systems and have them communicate, update and perform reliably in the real world.

About the Role

As Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll own sourcing, procurement and material planning for the hardware behind our UAV and defense systems. From standard parts and COTS electronics to designed components and contract-manufactured assemblies, you’ll make sure the right parts arrive on time, on quality and fully compliant.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues developing electronics, software, and AI together pushing to deliver vertically integrated and well-balanced solutions. Supply resilience, supplier performance, logistics and import/export execution will be your domain, and as the first dedicated owner of this function, you’ll be trusted to build the systems and supplier base we scale on. This is an on-site role with occasional travel to suppliers and partners.

What You’ll Work On

  • Procure & Plan: Coordinate and execute procurement plus material planning for standard, COTS and designed parts across electronics, sensors, mechanical components and assemblies

  • Source the Best Options: Identify and acquire best-in-market components by translating engineering requirements into structured supplier choices, RFQs and trade-off decisions

  • Own Supplier Execution: Hold suppliers, contractors and contract manufacturers accountable for on-time, on-quality delivery and drive issues through to resolution

  • Build Resilience: Strengthen our European supply chain through on-shoring, second-sourcing, forward-thinking contracting and stockpiling

  • Handle Logistics & Compliance: Organize shipping and external logistics while ensuring compliant handling of customs, end-use declarations, permits, BAFA-related topics and Incoterms

Your Profile

  • You bring 2+ years of end-to-end experience in supply chain management for embedded systems, ideally in avionics, UAVs or similarly demanding hardware

  • You’re skilled to rank sensors, electronics and other technical components against engineering specs and practical system needs

  • You communicate clearly and effectively across engineering, suppliers, logistics partners and contractors

  • You’re highly dependable in how you structure projects, procurement flows and data

  • You’re familiar with contract manufacturing, BAFA-relevant workflows and Incoterms

  • You speak fluent English; German is a strong plus

  • Most importantly, you’re structured, proactive and mission-driven. You don’t wait for perfect conditions. You build resilient systems that keep critical hardware moving.

Especially Valued Bonus Skills

  • Prior experience with export regulations for dual-use and military goods

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation

  • Strong negotiation skills with a holistic approach balancing pricing goals with supplier relations, quality and long-term needs

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, supplier scorecards or defense / aerospace supply chains

Perks & Benefits

  • Work Environment to Excel at: Find a high-quality and modern toolset, flat hierarchy and a skilled, driven team which will push the limits together with you

  • AI-boosted workplace: We empower every employee with best-in-class AI tools and agents, giving you unlimited access to the latest advancements and a true productivity edge

  • Real Ownership: Get early, real stock to participate directly in SE3’s growth

  • 31 Paid Days Off: 30 vacation days plus your birthday off

  • Well-being Access: Free membership to gyms, yoga, and wellness through EGYM Wellpass

  • Team Offsites: We go on 2 company retreats per year, our last ones were in Italy, Greece and Spain

  • Mentorship: Work closely with experienced engineers and get paired with a professional mentor to support your growth

Our Process

  1. Intro Call (20 min): Let’s get to know each other (conducted by our Talent Team)

  2. Technical Interview (60 min): Diving deeper into your experience, skills and problem-solving process with practical examples (with Lukas, our Hardware Lead)

  3. Team Dinner/Lunch: See if it’s a culture fit on both sides (can be integrated into the Onsite to accommodate long journeys)
