As a Produce Department Manager, you will oversee daily produce operations, ensure high standards for freshness and presentation, and drive sales through strong merchandising and inventory control. Main responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service  

• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge  

• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays  

• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times  

• Manage product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards  

• Order, receive, inspect, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines  

• Manage shrink through inventory controls, root‑cause identification, and waste‑reduction strategies  

• Build and manage labor schedules aligned with business needs  

• Train, coach, and develop produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment  

• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment 

Competencies: 

• Produce merchandising and freshness execution 

• Inventory management, ordering, and shrink control 

• Labor planning, scheduling, and associate supervision 

• Food safety, sanitation, and compliance execution 

Knowledge: 

• Produce handling, rotation, and freshness standards 

• Retail merchandising and promotional execution 

• Store systems and inventory tools 

Abilities: 

• Ability to review sales, shrink, and inventory data to drive results 

• Ability to train and develop associates 

• Ability to lift, move, and stack product and work in coolers and refrigerated environments 

• Travel requirements: None 

• Other requirements: Flexible availability including weekends and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business Conduct
