Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineer

1. Role Definition
Supports product regulatory compliance programs through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable product regulatory requirements for intended markets.
负责支持产品法规合规项目的实施，通过开展各项合规管理活动，协助识别、评估和管控产品合规风险，确保产品满足目标市场的相关法规及认证要求。
 

2. Responsibilities
• Understand and stay current on product regulatory requirements, and related technology requirements, and understand application of same to Caterpillar products.
• Follow and utilize established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information in support of product certification and compliance.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.
• Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.

• 支持产品法规合规风险管理活动，促进跨职能团队协同，确保产品顺利进入目标市场。

3. Key Skills

Data Gathering & Analysis:

·  Collect and organize data and technical documentation from multiple sources, including engineering, testing, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to support product certification and regulatory compliance activities.

·  Ensure data collection processes comply with established procedures and quality requirements, and identify and escalate data anomalies or gaps in a timely manner.

·  Perform basic analysis and consolidation of regulatory, certification, and product technical data to support compliance assessments and decision-making.

·  Accurately document, manage, and maintain compliance records, test reports, certification documents, and other related information in various formats.

·  Utilize standard data management and analysis tools to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of regulatory compliance information management.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail:

·  Understands the impact of inaccuracies, omissions, and non-compliance on product certification and regulatory compliance activities.

·  Applies established review processes and verification tools to ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance data and documentation.

·  Accurately processes and maintains detailed regulatory, certification, and technical information.

·  Identifies errors, learns from issues encountered, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

·  Utilizes checklists and quality control practices to ensure compliance submissions, reports, and records are complete and error-free.

Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking:

Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Degree Required：

Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution. 本科及以上学历，工程类、自动化、电气电子工程、计算机科学或相关专业毕业（需为受认可的学位项目）。

Nice to Have

具备良好的法规理解能力、技术分析能力及跨部门沟通协调能力。

 Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements, perform technical analysis, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams。

能够快速学习并掌握电动化、自动化及智能互联产品相关的国内外法规、行业标准和认证要求。

 Ability to quickly learn and understand global regulatory requirements, industry standards, and certification processes related to electrification, automation, and connected products.

具有产品合规、认证、���规管理或相关领域经验者优先。

 Experience in product compliance, certification, regulatory affairs, or related fields is preferred.

较强的英语沟通能力（口语和书面语）

Communication skills in English (both spoken and written);
