Production Coordinator I - 2nd Shift

WORK TYPE: On Site

WORK LOCATION: 950 E. Avenue K, Grand Prairie, TX 75050

WORK HOURS: 2ND Shift Monday through Friday 1pm to 9:30pm. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a member of the Production/Warehouse team, the Production Coordinator (Expeditor) is a critical role and is responsible for planning daily operations based on production schedules and coordinating the movement of material to ensure operational success through attaining KPIs in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members
• Communicate effectively with appropriate team members on production issues, on-time delivery, and problem solving
• Be a champion of the daily schedule goals by working with pre-production departments and coordinating all production flows.
• Research and resolve open orders report daily
• Partner to find the most efficient process and suggest improvements where needed/identified; encourages team members to provide suggestions
• Will cross train team members from other areas to ensure a flexible team

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Desire to learn/grow
• Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
• Confident decision making and solution oriented
• Great attention to detail and organization skills
• Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation
• Thrives on solving problems in both traditional and creative ways

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED and/or 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
