Working hours 8:00am - 5:00pm

About The Role:
Lead shift operations and inventory activities to ensure uninterrupted production and the accurate, efficient delivery of customer orders. Drive operational performance through strong leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement, while maintaining stock accuracy and supporting seamless supply chain operations.

What You Will Be Doing:

Operational & Inventory Leadership

  • Lead shift operations to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and service targets.
  • Manage a team of colleagues on shift, ensuring KPIs and daily tasks are met.
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including daily audits of ingredients, packaging, and label materials.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Monitor shift performance, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a strong shop floor presence, leading by example and ensuring tasks are completed to deadline.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to build capability and drive high performance.
  • Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and provide regular feedback.
  • Promote accountability, engagement, recognition, inclusion, and colleague wellbeing.

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations, implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workplace.

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply lean and CI principles to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Use performance data to identify opportunities and support the implementation of new processes and initiatives.

Who You Are:

Essential

  • 2+ years' experience as a people leader in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, fulfilment, logistics, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or operational leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Advantageous

  • Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma.
  • SQL/data analytics experience
