About this role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors, production team members and any applicable maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, OSHA regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules and staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  • Analyze production data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Human Resources to support operational objectives.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure proper training and cross-training of production employees.
  • Conduct performance reviews, corrective actions, and employee development planning.
  • Manage labor utilization and overtime while controlling department costs.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
  • Support a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Manage vendor invoicing and ensure accurate allocation to various general ledgers for production expenses.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to message to a diverse group of people
  • Ability to identify and solve problems individually
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, managing multiple priorities and changing the approach based on current business needs.
  • Ability to review, synthesize and make decisions based on various data sets.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory or management experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in JD Edwards ERP system
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of engineering platforms such as CAD or Solid Works
  • Previous experience with general accounting and AP systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk throughout the production facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
